Join us for the first in our series of Green Fingers Kitchen Gardening Workshops in Pugh's Woodland Lodge! The aim of these workshops is to help you gain a sense of pride from growing your own at home and getting children involved to help nurture a generation of nature lovers!
In these sessions we will be focusing on planting seeds which will grow into foods/ingredients you can use in your kitchen. We're starting off by planting 6 varieties of the onion family: chives, garlic, leek, onion, shallots and spring onions. These are key ingredients in many flavoursome dishes and are known to have a number of health benefits.
The adults only class will run from 10am-12pm and the family class from 1:30pm-3:30pm.
When booking, please note that 'Family Ticket 1' accounts for up to 2 adults and 1 child and 'Family Ticket 2' accounts for up to 2 adults and 2 children so please carefully select the correct ticket type. (These numbers are in place for fire safety reasons. The child age ranges from 0-16yrs).
Please note, each "adult only ticket" and each "family ticket" will receive one planting kit which includes all seeds, soil, pots and propagators you will need, plus some recipes to try once your onions have grown!
