Meet Santa this Christmas at Pugh’s Wenvoe, Evergreen Grotto, in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Nestled inside our cosy, woodland Tipi, surrounded by twinkling lights, Christmas trees, and the scent of pine, families can enjoy a magical meet-and-greet with Father Christmas. This festive experience brings the spirit of the season to life while returning to Pugh’s roots - a simple yet enchanting grotto. Gather round with Santa for a heart-warming chat, a sprinkle of elf magic, and make unforgettable memories in a winter fairy-tale setting.

How do I book tickets?
Tickets are available to book now for all Pugh's Loyalty Club Members via the Pugh’s Loyalty Club App. Simply download the Pugh’s Loyalty Club App, create an account, and you will be able to book via the app home page. Follow the buttons below for the quickest way to download and sign up!

What is the experience?
One at a time, each family will enjoy a magical 10-minute visit inside our cosy woodland Tipi at Pugh's Wenvoe. Guided by Santa’s elf, children will plant a magic bean before meeting Santa for a photo opportunity and receive an age-appropriate gift from Santa. Whilst with Santa, children will also discover that their planted bean has magically grown into their very own Mini Christmas Tree to take home! (the elves have kindly asked if grown-ups can keep this a surprise for little ones!)

In the past, Pugh’s Santa experience was a 30-minute group session, shared with multiple families. For 2025, we’re bringing Santa back in a whole new way — a truly magical 10-minute private experience. This year, each family will step into the wonder of Christmas on their own, enjoying a special one-to-one time with Santa and alongside a child friendly activity, without the distraction of a large group.

Where is the Grotto?
The Grotto is located at Pugh’s Wenvoe Garden Centre (Port Road, Vale of Glamorgan, CF5 6AD). Please note this event is not taking place at our Radyr centre. Wenvoe is easily accessible from the M4 and has a large family-friendly car park, making it convenient to visit from across South Wales.

What is the price?
£17 per child and £3 per adult per visit.

How can I contact you about the Grotto/Who should I speak to?
Pugh’s Evergreen Grotto is managed externally by a dedicated team at ‘Great Grottos Ltd’ and not by Pugh’s staff directly, therefore any queries regarding the grotto and bookings can only be answered via Great Grottos on 01306 886 989 | bookings@greatgrottos.co.uk

Will this be the same Santa who has been at Pugh's the last few years?
No, Great Grottos outsource Santa specifically for our Grotto so this will be different to the Santa Pugh's have worked directly with in previous years - we want to provide full clarity on this as we know some parents like to ensure consistency for their children depending on their age.

Will a photo be taken of our visit with Santa?
Yes. Professional photos are available to purchase during your visit inside the Grotto.

Is there a limit on the number of children per family?
Each booking can have a maximum of four children. If you wish to book for more than four children, you will be instructed to make two bookings. Your group will still be able to visit together at one of the times you have selected. Full details will be provided when tickets go live.

How many adults may attend?
There is no set limit on adults attending, but please note that more than four may feel a little cramped inside the tipi.

What gift will my child receive?
Each child will receive an age-appropriate gift from Santa. As part of our sustainability drive, all gifts will be supplied unwrapped.

Do I have to pay for my baby?
If your baby is the only child in your booking, then yes, a child ticket is required. However, if your baby is attending alongside another paying child, they can visit for free (excluding receiving a gift).

Can I bring my dog into the Grotto?
We love dogs here at Pugh’s, but unfortunately they cannot join the Grotto experience. The Tipi space is small and enclosed, and to ensure the comfort, safety, and enjoyment of all our visitors (as well as to protect the setting), we kindly ask that dogs do not enter. Our Garden Centres are otherwise dog-friendly. 

Will you be taking school bookings?
Yes. School bookings will be managed via our Head Office once tickets are live, either online or by calling the number we will provide.

Who are Great Grottos Ltd?
Great Grottos are UK Leaders in Christmas Grottos and they operate in top retail centres across the UK.
